The Willow Creek Gospel Music Jamboree was founded in 1997 with the original mission of spreading the gospel through music while creating a gathering place for people of Christian heritage. From its beginnings, the event brought communities together through shared faith and musical expression. It also provided an important platform for emerging Christian artists, offering them opportunities to develop their talents and reach wider audiences.
This vision was guided and supported by Honorary President Fran Hanson, whose leadership helped shape the jamboree’s early direction and growth. Over time, the event has continued to evolve, reflecting changes in its mission while remaining rooted in gospel music and community fellowship.
